Glowing Embrace

Lucky me, I just received some birthday gifts from a dear friend, and one of them was Jane Brocket's The Gentle Art of Domesticity, a book I'd been wanting for some time. Before bed last night, I read the chapter on pineapples as decorative motifs {J.B. makes a pineapple-shaped tea cozy in that chapter!} and I thought about the day when I own a cupboard {a touch bigger than my current cupboard}. When that day comes, I'll find myself a pineapple lamp to put near the front door and welcome me home every night.

  1. great lamp! my dad has a beautiful pinapple chandelier that hangs over the dining room table. my mom picked it out...and it turned out to be such a lovely add to the room.

  2. Rebecca: Thanks for popping in! That chandelier sounds divine. Maybe I'll buy only pineapple light fixtures once I own a home ... :)
