Right now, it's just before midnight and I have tea beside me, steeping. Cream-filled cookies are looking at me from the top of the refrigerator. I will write a book review because it's Something That Needs To Get Done. I will blink at the cookies on top of the refrigerator. I might even bat my eyes at them.
I will stay awake until Too Late. I will ask the cookies over for a snack in the Wee Hours. They will agree. But I will do all the snacking. They will do what cookies do best.
Why the boots? you ask. Why not? I answer. It's late ... you're dreaming ... nothing needs to make sense.
Sleep tight, friends.
Sleep tight, friends.
A book review...that seems to be fun. But not in the late hours with cookies waiting :p It's 6:58 in the morning, I've just arrived at work, all alone in the office, drinking some milk and eating croissants and taking my time to visit my favourite blogs. And it's funny to think that on the other side of the Earth there is someone, that I would have never known without this invention called Internet, that spends her night writing reviews and blinking at cookies :D I wish you a paeceful night and inspiration! :*
ReplyDeleteDia: How lovely of you to write this comment. I often feel the same way, excited and curious about my blogging friendships and how far-reaching they are. I love that you are starting your day and I am (or should be!) ending mine. There's something that feels a lot like hope in that, isn't there? I can't quite explain it ... :* Good morning to you.
ReplyDeleteThose are some fantastic boots, my friend.
ReplyDeleteP: Thanks, girl! They're so beat up at this point, but a trip to the cobbler's and the heels'll go another million miles with me.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture!
