Wall Flowers

I'm loving this idea from Post Road Vintage,
a shop with some of the best salvaged pieces I've ever seen.

A Tiny Delivery

Wouldn't it be so sweet to send or receive these miniature long-stem tissue carnations from Half a Cup of Tea?

Oxblood + Ballet Pink

Mr. Original and I aren't able to be with our families for Easter this year ... a real bummer. So, I figure we ought to do it up right, just us two. Starting with some fresh flowers -- the palest pink tulips with black calla lilies. Something about the combination just feels so elegant.

Stay tuned for more of our Easter antics this weekend ...

Bandwagon

The Ranunculus epidemic is one I couldn't resist. They're just so happy. And antenna-like. And they share a genus with buttercups {remember buttercups?!}.

Hydrangea

Look what Daylight Savings gave me -- to apologize for messing with my clocks:

I've read that a bouquet of hydrangea is often given to express gratefulness for the recipient's understanding ...

Sunday

Too busy to feel restless, but feeling it anyway ...

I need to fill both of these. My cactus kicked it {how did I kill a cactus?}, so I'm thinking jade, to help me save my money {!} ... and a few tulips in the vase.

Back door to the porch is open and I can hear neighbors' conversations drifting over from their porches.

Daylight Savings has taken an hour away from me, and I'm a little sore about it.

Lucky Me

Mr. Original gave me these tulips last night. It's rare {and wonderful} that I have TWO vases of flowers at the same time!

Bringing Spring In

I just bought myself these roses -- their color is called "Mambo" -- to liven up my cupboard. Lately, I can't stay away from orange {they're pretty fiery, actually; lipstick red on the outside petals and butterscotch in the middle} ... the brighter, the better. In truth, these are more gorgeous in person.

Who of you have flowers inside your cupboard today?

Riotous

I couldn't get these beauties to sit still! I love a head-banging lily.

P.S. Ever notice how lilies have a smattering of freckles on each petal?
